Zelya Energy

A Territorial Supply Plan (PAT) for wood-energy consists of setting up, optimizing and securing the supply of wood-energy.

It is a strategic and operational decision-making tool for local elected officials and project owners or operators of electricity and/or heat production plants operating exclusively or partially from wood-energy, to identify their source of supply.

Our services

As a project owner, and in close consultation with decision-makers, Zelya Energy supports you in:

  • Determining the relevant geographical perimeter;
  • Analyzing the existing wood-energy sector, its production or transformation actors, and consumers;
  • Quantitatively and qualitatively evaluating the available wood resources and potential (standing volumes and increase) in this territory, as well as consumption characteristics;
  • Identifying existing or planned wood-energy power plants and cogeneration plants;
  • Characterizing environmental, landscape, agricultural issues, etc.;
  • Quantifying local logistical and economic supply, import and export capacities, as well as the conditions for local wood mobilization for the wood-energy sector;
  • Simulating and optimizing consumption, production and supply scenarios and supply costs for sectors, including the "wood-energy" sector.

For elected officials, we also offer, and more specifically, to:

  • Highlight the obstacles and levers to the local mobilization of resources;
  • Evaluate the impacts: greenhouse gas emissions, job creation, economic growth, increase in tax revenues;
  • Target necessary investments and identify possible sources of funding and subsidies;
  • Identify public authority levers to support, facilitate, or participate in this mobilization;
  • Propose actions to be implemented to contribute to the development of the sector.
